Overview

I was approached to come up with a brand name and full corporate identity for a new sweet store venture in my home town of Cleethorpes.

Having shortlisting several names, a natural choice was to simply call the new shop 'Sweet!'. The word 'sweet' is sometimes used as a describing word for something which is cool and has many positive associations with it. It's also memorable for being short and sweet too.

Working on a very tight budget, I come up with a bold playful logo which has a real vintage cartoon comic book feel. I enhanced this style by choosing some retro colours such as dark magenta, dark turquoise and dark brown.

I also advised the client on how this logo should be applied across the shop front and also on the jars of sweets within the shop.
